ZhaiTalk respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use, store, and share it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Registration and verification. For example: mobile number, email, nickname, avatar, credentials, and verification codes needed to create and secure your account.
1.2 Content and interactions. Messages and files you send or receive (text, images, audio, video, documents), contacts or group relationships, and chat-related data needed to provide messaging (as actually implemented).
1.3 Device and diagnostics. Device model, OS version, identifiers, IP address, network type, crash logs, and operational logs for security, troubleshooting, and improvement.
1.4 Location. We do not collect precise location for a standalone “map browsing” product feature. Only if you actively use a location-related feature (for example, sharing a location in a chat) and grant permission in system settings will we process location data to fulfill that feature. You can revoke permission at any time.
1.5 Cookies and similar technologies. We may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where needed for login state, security, or experience (as implemented).
2. How we use information
To provide and maintain messaging and related features; to secure accounts and prevent abuse; to analyze usage in aggregate to improve the product; and to comply with legal obligations. If we introduce personalized ads or new sensitive uses, we will obtain consent where required and update this Policy.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with vetted service providers (e.g. cloud, SMS verification, IM infrastructure, safety tooling) strictly to provide the service, under contract and confidentiality requirements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition subject to applicable notice/consent rules.
4. Retention and security
We retain data as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact us via the email below. We will respond within applicable time limits.
6. Children
Our services are not directed to children under the age required by local law without parental consent. If we learn we collected data from a child without proper consent, we will delete it as required.
7. International transfers
If personal data is transferred across borders, we will comply with applicable laws and use appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms as required in your region).
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version and, where required, notify you through the app or other channels. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance (except where separate consent is required).
